Former Secretary/Treasurer and Honorary Member of the Chabo Liefhebbers Club - C.L.C. Lucas van IJsendijk has been appointed a Member of the Royal Orange-Nassau Order on Friday, April 29th 2005.

Mr. Van IJsendijk has been awarded royally for his already long-lasting merits in the world of keepers of miniature pets  and especially for all his executive work.  He has been for many years a member of the Board of the Regional Department 'North-Holland' of the NHDB, for many years a member of the Board of the Association of Breeders of Poultry and Rabbits in the Gooi, for many years a member of the Board of the Exeptional Show of Bantams and Fowl in Loosdrecht and of course for 38 years a member of the Board of the C.L.C. - the Chabo Liefhebbers Club of which he served for may years as the Secretary/Treasurer.

Lucas van IJsendijk has furthered with his unbridled efforts the Chabo Liefhebbers Club and the Japanese Bantam breed in many ways. That's the reason he is often called "Mr. Chabo" amongst the Dutch lovers of small animals.

Board and members of the Chabo Liefhebbers Club do congratulate Lucas van IJsendijk cordially with this royal appointment.
